History

Goforth Special Utility District was originally founded as Goforth Water District in 1969 to service water customers in Niederwald and surrounding communities.

On March 1, 2008, Goforth Water District became Goforth Special Utility District, a governmental agency. This change allows Goforth certain tax and financial advantages, which can then be passed on to our customers. It also helps to facilitate the growth and expansion that will be needed to service our area's growing population.
